Your Instructor
Debbie has been instructing Yoga since 2007. Early in her career she dedicated her teachings to beginners and those with limited body movement. She moved into Yoga Nidra (guided meditation) in 2010 and realized that most people seeking out yoga instruction weren't doing so as some spiritual aspirant, or even to do crazy tricks with their body. Most people are simply looking for ways to reduce the harmful effects that stress is causing to their physical body.
Debbie has a unique background in that she has spent several years in a stressful, deadline oriented corporate position. She has first hand knowledge of dealing with tension, back/neck pain, lack of motivation (after work) and complete lethargy. She also has first hand experience in healing herself from all of these symptoms while remaining at the same job!
Yoga gave Debbie numerous tools for her own healing but she also wanted to understand the "why" behind the healing she experienced from these "feel-good" practices. She fully believes that knowledge is the precursor to experience (thank you Dr. Joe Dispenza) and if you can share logical, scientific explanations to theories like positive thinking, mindful breathing, and meditation (to name only a few) than these techniques have a stronger backbone to make true and lasting changes in your life.
